There are those that are in bondage because of the fear of man. They are more concerned about what man (or a human being) can do to them than what God can do to them therefore, they are in this forever bondage. Always trying to please man!!!
“The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.” (Proverbs 29:25)
The bible says that the fear of man brings a snare!!! The only healthy fear is the trust in the Lord that keeps you safe. We live in a world where peer-pressure, public opinion, and human perception have made people become conformists in all they do (or at least in part). These all fall into the category of “fear of man”.
The psalmist made a categorical statement that he will not fear man in Psalm 118:
“I called on the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore, I shall see my desire on those who hate me.” (Psalm 118:5-7)
What really makes anyone fear man if not for the potential repercussions of their rage, anger, power, ability, and influence? It takes one who can say “no” to the fear of man to declare like the psalmist did here.
God is greater, bigger, and more powerful than any man. As a Christian and child of God, you are not meant to fear man but to fear God. Your life and all that pertains to you belongs to God. Therefore, do not fear man. Jesus said:
“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)
Do not fear man! Do not fear your man or woman of God! Do not fear your bosses or leaders! Don’t fear your parents, family members, neighbours, or friends either! Respect them but don’t allow the fear of man inside of you.
This is awesome
